  This photo was taken on January 20, 2003 at Higashi Akiru. It is a pile of last year's good luck charms - which are supposed to be burned when the new year comes. The people gather all of their old good luck charms and bring them here to burn. |

  The first photo here, taken at the Inokashira Park Pond in Kichijouji, was taken on February 3. The 2nd photo was taken at Bubaigawara - a plum blossom park - on February 13. That's Kazuya standing under the tree. |

  The first photo here, which shows Mt. Fuji, was taken in Otsuki from Iwadono-yama on March 9. The 2nd panorama was taken from the same place and on the same day. The 3rd shot was taken on March 22 and is a double plum blossom - again, taken at Bubaigawara plum blossom park. |

  The first 2 shots here were taken on April 5 from the roof of our office in Iidabashi. Of course those are cherry trees along the moat. The 3rd shot, taken on April 7, shows a nice clump of cherry blossoms and was taken at Takao Science Garden. |

  The first 2 shots in this row were also taken on April 7 at Takao Science Garden. The first shot shows the lunch we brought with us, the 2nd shot is a Baimo (Fritillaria verticillata) and the 3rd shot shows a cherry tree branch at the International Christian University, near our apartment. It was also taken on April 7. |

  These 2 shots were taken on April 20 at Koganei Park. The first shot is a late blooming cherry tree with some people enjoying their lunch under it. The 2nd shot is a pink flowered Dogwood tree. |

  The 2 shots which make up this collage of a "sexy and muscular" Daniel were taken on May 14. I created the 2nd collage, which shows summer and fall shots of a Ginkgo and Maple trees taken at the same place (Mitake, along the Tama River), on May 25. |

  These 3 shots were all taken on July 5. The first shot is a collage showing 4 separate shots of Indian Pipe (Monotropa sp.) at Mt. Mitake. The 2nd shot shows the huge Cedar trees along the road which climbs to the summit of Mt. Mitake. The 3rd shot, a wild Hydrangea Bush, was taken at the base of the mountain. |

  The sunflower shot, in the center for balance, was taken on July 17. The 1st and 3rd shots were taken on July 28. The first shot is a soba (buckwheat) noodle shop near Jindai Botanical Garden - note the tree which grows up through the roof. The 3rd shot is a Chinese Bellflower. |

  I assembled the first collage on August 21. The 2nd shot, taken near our local bus stop, was taken on August 23 and the 3rd shot, taken near Ueno Park and showing multiple torii at a small shrine, was taken on August 27. |
