This page begins with June 7th and a drive down to Denali National Park. On that day we hiked a little ways on the Savage Alpine Trail and we also hiked the entire Savage River Loop Trail. We spent the night in our pickup topper at one of the campsites in the Riley Creek Campground, within the park. In Row 12 we begin June 8th, a climb up the Bison Gulch Trail towards Mt. Healy. We did not make it to the top, but we had a great time and then camped at Riley Creek Campground one final time. Click on any thumbnail to begin.

Now it's a new day. We drove to the Bison Gulch Trailhead for climbing Mt. Healy, and then climbed as far as we could before tiring out. The first shot shows a Lehmann's rock-jasmine (Androsace chamaejasme ssp. lehmanniana), the second shot is a Moss Campion (Silene acaulis), and the third shot is a Mountain Avens (Dryas octopetala). |
