This page begins with February 8th and takes you through the 15th. There were no adventures after that date, unfortunately.
I had to work on 3 of the 4 Saturday's in February and Kazuya had to work on the 1 Saturday which I did not have to work. In addition, Kazuya had to work on 1 Sunday. Click on any thumbnail to begin.

On February 8th Kazuya and I went out to Mitake and Sawai, on the Upper Tama River. We were hoping to maybe see some good birds, but we didn't. We ate lunch in this really nice Soba (a kind of noodles) Restaurant. The first 2 pictures show the restaurant from the outside and the 3rd picture shows what we had for lunch - Soba and Tempura. Very YUMMY! |

After we ate lunch we walked along the river - people were kayaking even in this cold and windy weather. We also found that the Pussy Willows were out. |

Here are 2 picturesque shots along the river. The first shot shows the Ginkgo tree which is so beautiful in November (See Pages 2 and 3 of November's photos). |

On the 14th of the month we went to Nogawa Park and found the Setsubun-sou (Shibateranthis pinnatifida) to be finishing up, but we found a few good flowers to photograph. Here are 3 of the best shots. |

On the 15th we went to Koishikawa Botanical Garden - I forgot to take my camera! Here are 2 of the best shots which Kazuya took. The first photo is a very early cherry tree. The 2nd shot is me and a "weeping" Plum Tree. |

Thanks so much for taking the time to look this month, sorry there isn't much to show. I had to work 3 of the 4 Saturdays of the month and Kazuya had to work on one of the Sundays, so we didn't get out as much as we might have hoped to. |
